The differentiation of companies in the global market is increasingly achieved through the demonstration of sustainability practices.
The Textile Exchange is a global not-for-profit organization whose goals are to drive increased adoption of preferred (sustainable) fibers and materials and increase integrity throughout the supply chain, through the adoption of standards and certifications. In this way, Textile Exchange is contributing to the collective achievement of climate reduction goals and holistic positive impacts in the production of fibers and raw materials.
Textile Exchange standards require every step of the supply chain to be certified, from the raw material producer to the seller in the last business-to-business transaction, with sustainability claims being verified from raw material to final product. APCER is applying to certify processing and trading of textile products.
APCER is accredited by IOAS for product certification. Accreditation number: Contract No. 147. See www.ioas.org/accreditation/accredited-bodies/ for current information.
- Content Claim Standard (CCS) – chain of custody certification to ensure the accuracy of material content claims;
- Recycled Claim Standard (RCS) – verification of the use of recycled material throughout the supply chain, and the increase of this type of materials;
- Global Recycled Standard (GRS) - verification of the increased use of recycled materials in products and the reduction/elimination of damages caused by their production. It also validates Social Responsibility, Environmental and Chemical practices throughout the process.
